SKILL SCORE
What is Skill Score?
Skill Score is a relative measure of how well you do in tournaments compared to other CoinPoker players. The score helps you quickly judge the skill of other players and see your own performance. A Skill Score is based on seven key poker stats and considers all of a player’s real money tournament results, with a possible score between 0 and 1000.
Here are the seven stats that create your Skill Score:
ITM (In The Money)
How often you finish in a prize-winning position, then multiplied with log value of your average buy-in
ROI (Return on Investment)
Your total profits divided by your total buy-ins, then multiplied by the log value of your average buy-in
Tournaments Played
The number of tournaments played, generated as soon as you finish your first tournament
Winnings
The total amount you've won in tournaments
Final Tables
Number of times you made it to the final table, multiplied by the square root of the number of participants in each of those tournaments
1st Rank
Number of times you secured a first-place finish, multiplied by the square root of the number of participants in each of those tournaments
Biggest Score
Your highest win from a single tournament
Individual scores are not an absolute value, but a score out of 1000 relative to other MTT players on CoinPoker.
How is Skill Score calculated
- To calculate the Skill Score, the seven poker stats of a player are considered from their overall tournaments played.
- Each of the seven stats’ values is converted into a percentile score (with respect to the stats of other users) out of 1000.
- A certain weight is allocated to each factor in the final score.
- The sum of all percentiles is calculated, which gives a final Skill Score.
Criteria for Skill Score calculation
- You need to play at least one tournament to generate your skill score.
- Satellites, step satellites, and freerolls are not considered while calculating your Skill Score.
- Tournaments that took place after March 2nd, 2026 will be considered.
- For players with less than 100 tournaments played, the Skill Score is adjusted slightly based on the number of tournaments played (this reduces anomalies from users with fewer tournaments, ensuring fair results).
